Privacy Policy

Pending legal review: Entity name, jurisdiction, vendor details, and contact addresses have been populated, but this remains starter template language. Before going live, have a qualified privacy attorney review it against actual data flows, jurisdictions served (especially California under CCPA/CPRA and EU/UK under GDPR), the payment processor, and any ad-tech / analytics pixels added.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Simple Trading LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the VWAP Reversion website and related Services. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described below. If you don't agree, don't use the Services.

2. What we collect

2.1 Information you give us directly

  • Account information — name, email, password hash, and any profile details you add.
  • Billing information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive the last 4 digits of your card, card brand, and billing ZIP from the processor for receipts and fraud prevention. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Support and community messages — anything you send us by email or post in private community channels.
  • TradingView username (Indicator and Autotrader tiers) — so we can add you to the invite-only indicator.
  • Tradovate / PickMyTrade identifiers (Autotrader tier) — to wire automated execution, if you choose to share them.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Device and log data — IP address, browser user agent, device type, pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps.
  • Cookies — session cookies to keep you logged in, preference cookies to remember UI settings (e.g. last-used backtester parameters), and analytics cookies (see §4).
  • Performance telemetry — backtester runs (parameter combinations and aggregate timing) for product improvement. We do not collect the contents of CSVs you load into the browser-based backtester — that data stays on your machine.

2.3 Information we do not collect

We do not collect your broker account balance, your open positions, or the contents of your trading account. The Autotrader tier routes signals through third-party middleware (PickMyTrade) directly to your broker — we do not observe the resulting fills.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including authentication, billing, and support.
  • To deliver signals, community access, and product updates.
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, account changes, critical service notices) and, with your opt-in, product updates and marketing.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and analytics tools. As of the date of this policy, that includes:

  • Session + preference cookies (first-party) — required for login and to remember settings.
  • Plausible Analytics (privacy-first, cookieless — see Plausible's data policy) — aggregate visit and funnel metrics. [If using GA4, add the standard disclosure and a cookie banner for EU/UK visitors.]
  • Stripe — checkout and fraud prevention. Stripe sets its own cookies subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings. Some features (checkout, login) will not work without essential cookies.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers under contract — payment processor (Stripe), email provider (Resend), hosting (Cloudflare), analytics provider (Plausible Analytics), Discord (community access), TradingView (invite-only script access), PickMyTrade / Tradovate (Autotrader tier only).
  • Legal and safety purposes — when required by law, valid subpoena, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to equivalent privacy commitments.

6. Data retention

We keep account information while your account is active. After cancellation, we retain account records for up to 24 months for fraud prevention and legal compliance, then delete or anonymize them. Billing records may be retained longer where required by tax or other laws. You may request deletion earlier — see §8.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — TLS for data in transit, hashed passwords, least-privilege access to production systems, and segregation of payment data through our processor. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee unauthorized access will never occur.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements);
  • Object to, or restrict, certain processing;
  • Request a portable copy of your information;
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@simpletrading.ai. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30–45 days).

California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the rights listed above plus the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.

EU / UK (GDPR)

Our legal bases for processing are (i) contract performance — to provide the Services you've signed up for; (ii) legitimate interest — to secure, improve, and market our Services; (iii) legal obligation; and (iv) consent — where required, for example for marketing emails. You may complain to your local data protection authority at any time.

9. International transfers

We operate from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US. By using the Services, you consent to that transfer.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have information about a minor, contact privacy@simpletrading.ai and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. For material changes, we will email you or post a prominent notice in the Services before the change takes effect.
